Description:
The Division Manager in Wisconsin under the direction of the President and CEO, the primary responsibilities of the Building Products Division Manager will be to support the division staff while overseeing the strategic management of the division. This includes the work as an accredited certification, inspection, and testing agency for the wood panel product and engineered building product markets.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Business Management, or related discipline. Advanced degree, MBA preferred.
Ten years of experience managing a team of professionals. Prefer experience with residential and commercial wood building products and testing. Experience with EWP and wood Structural Panel products preferred.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to distill technical information.
Experience with building products industry and the application and manufacturing processes.
Must be a legal US resident. Unfortunately, there is no visa sponsorship offered for this role.
Self-driven with strong critical and analytical thinking ability.
Strong potential as a candidate for Vice President and corporate officer advancement.
Up to 40% travel international, including international, may be required within three (3) months of being hired.
Willingness to interact with personnel at all levels of client and cooperator organizations.
Experience managing profit center preferred.
Interpreting product standards and US and Canadian national building codes preferred.
Reading and interpreting test standards and methods preferred.
Project management and development preferred.
Quality management methodology and auditing preferred.
Responsibilities:
Strategic management and direction of division.
Oversee staff managing the certification, inspection, and testing programs.
Actively search for and engage potential clients.
Budget and financial responsibilities for division.
Attract and maintain division staff.
Assist in the operation of the Building Product Research Report program.
Conduct quality process and product audits of client manufacturing facilities.
Represent company at industry trade shows;
Represent company on select industry standards committees by participating in conference calls, webinars, and attending off-site meetings.
