Position : Sleep Gallery Coordinator & Mattress Specialist
Description :
General Scope: To thoroughly understand and embrace the Sleep retail category. Assist retail customers with mattress and related product purchases. Assist the showroom staff with sales support and provide product knowledge to reach and exceed department sales goals.
Mattress Specialist:
Sales: Assist retail customers with sleep evaluation, education and purchase of mattress and mattress accessory products.
Lead sales associates through the sales process with their customers, either by active involvement in the education and sales process, general product knowledge, or taking over the entire sales process.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up to date product knowledge in all mattress categories.
Support: Assist Mattress Manager with coordination of department including promotions, sign changes, training, vendor updates, and overall upkeep and presentation of Mattress Department.
Training: Assist in creating ongoing mattress department awareness to motivate sales associates and implement training programs for Mattress Specialists to reach and exceed departmental training standards.
Work Hours: Full time position, 40 hours per week. Includes weekday shifts with minimum 3-4 Saturdays per month (4 on months with 5 Saturdays). One-two evenings per week. 3-4 Holidays per year and 4-5 Sundays per year. Hours to be scheduled to provide proper department retail coverage.
Compensation:
Hourly base rate plus commission and bonus opportunities.

Education and/or Experience
High School Degree plus (2) year advanced education or training.
Minimum (5) Years sales experience in sales and or customer service.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentials functions of this job.
Ability to walk the sales floor and stand for long periods of time. Also need to be able to unpack mattress accessories, tag, and place on display shelves. Need to lift and carry accessories to assist with customer’s needs, pick-ups, or assist with floor work if needed.
