Position Summary:
This Shipping and Receiving Specialist position is part of a 4-5 personal small warehouse team. This teams opens all incoming boxes for service, documenting what is in the boxes and processing the items correctly. This team is also responsible for using work instructions to appropriately box new sales items for stock. Sales and Service items will be pulled for shipping and this team boxes and enters labels to ship nationally and internationally using FedEx, UPS and DHL. This team verifies each other’s work and relies on each other to keep the quality high. Employees are on their feet, moving and active much of the day.
This is a BOXING position (shipping) that will focus on boxing service electronic items securely and sales items according to procedures. Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs is a must. This is a physical position.
This position is a LABELING position that will mainly use UPS and FedEx to ship boxes domestically and internationally. Experience with these programs is a must.
This position is a QUALITY CONTROL position that will act as the last set of eyes to confirm that items are complete, correctly matched to job folders and being sent to the right locations the right ways. Verification skills and accuracy are a must.
This position is not your standard warehouse position. SCANNERS and FORKLIFT experience are NOT APPLICABLE.
Skills and Knowledge:
Reliability /willingness to work
Shipping/Receiving experience ( experience with Fed Ex and UPS ship systems a plus)
Ability to multi-task
Must be able to follow SOP
Experience processing paperwork/records
Attention to detail and accuracy (extremely important )
Packaging experience
Must be detail-oriented and organized
Must manage time wisely and meet deadlines
Must take initiative to ask questions and learn from the answers
Requirements:
Minimum of High School education or GED
Multiple years experience in Shipping and Receiving
Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift and carry up to 50-pound equipment and boxes
General testing will be provided.
