Position : Sales Territory Manager
Description :
Responsible to execute the distribution strategy and revenue plans for Black Diamond Group’s footwear related brands. Drive growth through the development of existing accounts and new account market penetration. Cultivate and strengthen relationships to methodically drive results that achieve established goals for the territory. All territory responsibilities including time management, extensive travel, account maintenance, and territory performance.
Primary Duties
Manage a multi-state Territory which includes servicing active account growth while generating new accounts from prospects that meet established quotas.
Utilize provided mapping tools to plan efficient and optimized travel routes.
Create and execute reporting in preparation for each sales call to include open order status, and sales history.
Professionally manage sales presentation agendas that cover sales history, line presentation, supporting key initiatives, 90 days objectives, and writing orders for current and future needs.
Focus sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of each customer and prospect.
Recognize and sell products through a segmented distribution model across all channels of distributions.
Have a thorough understanding of the marketplace, competitive insights, consumer awareness, current/future market trends.
Identify and maintain new account opportunities within targeted channels to meet growth objectives.
Resolve customer issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and recommending solutions that may require management approval.
Maintain a consistent frequency of in-store visitation to ensure execution of brand presence, and consumer experience.
Identify areas of underdeveloped business and formulate strategies to increase market share.
Inform Management through activity reports, weekly travel plans, mapped routes, weekly at once sales updates, prospect updates, weekly expenses, weekly account activity communication report, and an overall business health report.
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and merchandising techniques.
Monitor account model stocks and determine proper inventory levels.
Advise management routinely of problems and opportunities within the region.
Interact and work with sales, marketing, operations, inventory planning, customer service, and other departments and individuals as needed.
Demonstrate your capabilities for collaborative team alignment, cultural behavior, and successful working practices at Black Diamond Group and with Black Diamond customers.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
3+ years of wholesale or retail sales experience.
Motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who can work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills and is detail oriented.
Must understand the marketplace.
Must possess strategic selling and presentation skills and have a professional presence when dealing with customers.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Ability to understand and analyze retail financials and metrics.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will sit for long periods of time, and may use repetitive wrist and hand motions involved in typing and data entry. Employee may be required to carry, move and transport large sample bags weighing up to 60 lbs. Employee is required to travel involving all modes of transportation for long and short durations.
