Position : Sales and New Business Development Manager
Description :
The Sales and New Business Development Manager is responsible for handling a book of base business while also actively pursuing new accounts. The Sales and New Business Development Manager will be the lead point of contact for all their customers, anticipate the customer needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for customer are met, and help the client succeed. The Sales and New Business Development Manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a solid and trusting relationship between customer and company.
Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
Develop a complete understanding of customer needs to effectively meet those needs.
Anticipate key account changes and improvements to ensure we provide the best possible service.
Manage communications between key clients and internal teams to promote clear understanding
Perform strategic planning to improve client results.
Negotiate contracts with customer and establish timeline of performance for profitability and customer satisfaction.
Establish, oversee, and have ownership of customer inventory, internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the customer to effectively manage profit margins and increase business.
Work with design, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all customer needs are met.
Collaborate within the sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling.
Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team. members, stakeholders, and for possible use in future case studies or company training.
Meet all customer needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines.
Analyze customer data to provide effective customer relationship management.
Expand existing relationships and bring in new customers to improve revenue and profit measures.
Collaborate effectively across the organization in order to meet performance goals while also enhancing internal networks.
Take ownership for your complete book of business, delivering exceptional service to all customers, regardless of size.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the front and back end of each account in order to speak to all aspects of your business relationships.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business management, or related field preferred
Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in sales, business development, or key account management, especially on a national level in the retail segment, is required.
Proven work history of growing sales, client base, and territory, while also delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals is required
Computer skills must include experience with a CRM and Microsoft Office Suite (with a focus on Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into customer solutions is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that include effective listening, presenting, and interpersonal relations is required
Track record of strong negotiation skills with follow-through on terms of client contracts is required
Verifiable history of effectively managing multiple existing and potential client relationships with limited direct supervision is required
Willingness and ability to work within a highly collaborative and consensus-oriented culture is required.
Proven history of working autonomously with a company-first attitude toward goal accomplishment and collaborating with others is required.
