Description :
Myticas Consulting is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a contract position with our direct client based in North Chicago, IL. Location: 100% Remote

The ideal candidate will mix a sharp business mind with good communication and organizational skills with finance experience / background who can also help manage our portfolio of project budget, run the business budgets and learn the financials processes (PO generation etc) to support the team as a whole. Experience with IT budgets which can sometimes require specialist knowledge would be preferred. The candidate has to show the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow into the role.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

Lead budget definition process and budget monitoring over the course of the year.
Consolidating the IT elements of the budget from various IT leaders within the US.
Work on establishing a framework for looking at RTB (Run the Business) budgets as well as Project Budgets.
May need to support budgets needed for Integration projects.
Tracking spending profiles across RTB and Projects with management reports to business and IT management.
Establish a regular review process with IT leadership team to provide insights on over/under-spending.
Support business planning financials, cross transfers from Business to IT.
Track Capital Expense together with depreciation modelling.
Support LBE’s (Latest Business Estimate) updates.
Evaluate and implement a regular financial consolidation process with key stakeholders within IT and business.
Own our portfolio across Business As Usual and Integration projects and provide insights and watch-outs for management to take action.
Understand our financial spend and phasing.
Proactively chase leaders for updates to systems and accurate financial forecasts.
Working with other business partners and Finance personnel to share our budgetary position.
Portfolio management skills are a nice to have to support the organization in preparing business review as needed.

Job Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

Proven experience in a finance role (2/3 years)
Proven experience in a similar role supporting IT and/or business department
“People person” with ability to quickly build and maintain relationships.
Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Experience using SAP. Experience using Clarity is a plus.
Tenacious, self-starter mentality.
Experience working with remote teams, and with vendor resources
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Tenacious, self-starter mentality.
Strong collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.
Passion and willingness to do attitude.
