Job Summary: Receives incoming calls for security services, dispatches officers as appropriate, and monitors fire alarms. Documents security service requests in an electronic records management and dispatch system. Operates a computer aided mobile dispatch system and monitors CCTV system.
Position Hours: 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing Requirements: Valid Driver’s License
Hiring Range: $28,787 – $35,983
Job Specific Task List:
Receives calls concerning crimes, emergencies, and other requests for security assistance; monitors and responds to calls from the Nowforce system, as well as from campus “Blue Light” emergency telephones. – (Essential)
Operates a computer aided mobile dispatch (CAD) system. – (Essential)
Monitors fire and burglar alarms and alarm systems for all college buildings. – (Essential)
Broadcasts orders to officers in vicinity to investigate complaint or request when appropriate; relays instructions or questions from remote units. – (Essential)
Relays radio and telephone messages between officers and the community. – (Essential)
Contacts appropriate emergency services such as police, fire and emergency medical services. – (Essential)
Performs receptionist duties; responds to questions from walk-in and telephone traffic. – (Essential)
Controls access to college secured areas; monitors the departments closed circuit camera systems. – (Essential)
Performs various clerical duties including completing the electronic dispatch log and filing incident reports. – (Essential)
Performs other duties as assigned. – (Essential)
