Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Materials and Information Management (MIM) leadership team. The successful candidate will be a direct report to the MIM Asset Management Subdivision Manager and serve as the Property Management Unit Manager responsible for controlling all NNL accountable government property from delivery through final disposition. This position is responsible for the accountability and safeguarding of government property at all NNL locations, to include other Federal agencies, shipyards, and subcontractors, through the performance of accountability inventories, short- and long-term property storage agreements, and ensuring the appropriate reutilization and disposition of property that is no longer needed.
NNL is looking for a candidate experienced with:
Exercising leadership qualities to effectively work with peers, functional partners, stakeholders, upper management, and outside organizations in the support the Property Management Unit’s tasks.
Leading the completion of the Property Management System updates and data entry which include creating a property record for an item, completion of property transfers, and retirements as needed.
Exercising leadership to influence multiple Property Management programs including, the Annual Accountable Property Inventories, Precious Metals Inventory, Special Reactor Materials Inventory and Equipment Held For Future Projects (EHFFP) review.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in functional area from an accredited college or university; OR
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of related experience.
Please note: Selected applicants currently in the Unit manager job family will be offered this position at their existing level. If the selected applicant is changing between Business/Administrative Unit Manager and Technical Unit Manager, then the level is subject to change.
