GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Production Supervisor is seen as a leader within the Production Facility and responsible for ensuring all production targets are hit with available resources.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops a team of production employees that are responsible for various production activities.
Oversees and manages production and ensures policy compliance throughout the facility
Recommends and implements cost effective and efficient plant processes
Maintains a safe work environment and follows OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and other government agencies, wherever applicable
Creates and organizes maintenance scheduling; ensure adequate staffing levels to ensure manufacturing needs are met timely.
Understands tracked organizational metrics and utilizes this information when making decisions.
Understands how to effectively delegate; utilizes effective delegations’ tactics when assigning work to subordinates.
Responsible for the employee life cycle; hiring, scope of employment, and end of employment. Identifies qualified candidates, train new hires, and evaluate performance while planning for succession.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Must have three years of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Prolonged periods of standing and walking through production area.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
May require travel.
