Position : Procedure Room (OBS) – LPN or CMA
Description :
LPN or MA (Recovery and Procedure Room) Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of surgical experience needed for a busy, fast-paced doctor’s office in Georgetown, DE. Candidate must be efficient, patient-oriented, and possess the capability to operate with ease in our Recovery and Procedure Room.
We prefer candidates with prior experience as EMTs or in emergency-type settings who are quick on their feet and are diligent in patient observation. You will work under the direction and supervision of an RN to provide direct and indirect patient care according to established procedures.
Candidates who have assisted in surgical procedures, have knowledge of sterile technique, and have exposure to surgical equipment and instrumentation will be prioritized.

What we’re looking for
Sussex Pain Relief Center is seeking a talented individual who practices advanced technical skills and possesses a deep understanding of procedure room protocols. You’ll be working with a tight-knit group responsible for ensuring the procedure room runs smoothly. We are busy multi-provider medical office seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic, diligent, and hard-working. Candidate must be punctual, pleasant and enjoy direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
*Work Diligently*
Handle all items per established guidelines.
Disassemble and sterilize equipment in the prescribed manner.
Maintain strict aseptic technique.
Maintain a productive flow while procedures are performed.
Communicate with clarity and warmth when interacting with patients.
*Reporting*
Report KPIs directly to our Chief Operating Officer.
This position works under the direction of the Procedure Room RN.
*Maintain Accreditation*
Actively support compliance to policy and procedures outlined to maintain our AAAHC-accreditation.
Demonstrate understanding of infection control and universal precautions.
*Leadership & Governance*
Ensure all actions, job performance, and personal conduct and communications are representative of the company’s professionalism and values.
Uphold and ensure compliance with all corporate and clinical policies and protocols as well as the overall mission of the organization.
Qualifications
2+ years experience as a technician
Pain management experience is a plus
2+ years experience as a problem solver
Attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills
Deep understanding of the infection control protocol
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Proven record of punctuality and professionalism
Flexible and focused on solutions
