POSITION PROFILE
The Principal Consultant will be responsible for partnering with Ricoh customers’ to provide enterprise business process improvements. This role will focus on creating process change by integrating new processes with appropriate industry best practices to impacted organizations. The role requires a well-rounded principal consultant who can develop analytical insights, apply creative problem-solving skills and provide thought leadership to influence and lead cross-functional teams. This critical role will involve working within and/or leading cross-functional teams that are comprised of individuals from various levels within Ricoh, the customer organization and third party business partners.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies documents, analyzes, designs and redesigns business processes
Plans, performs and implements process improvement and redesign initiatives
Diagrams and evaluates existing processes
Collects data to identify root cause of problems
Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls through data trending and analysis
Provides consultation and leads projects to apply process improvement and re-engineering techniques to improve business performance
Develops metrics and analyses data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities
Scopes, charters and leads all phases of process analysis and design established within a customer’s enterprise
Provides consulting to address large scale/highly complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of business, process and people factors
Uses business knowledge, process analysis and consulting skills to understand and improve performance in imaginative ways
Responsible for identifying and championing the need for appropriate process perspectives in business discussions and projects
Proficient at scoping complex process analysis and improvement projects and complete development of project charters
Performs cost and benefit analyses and recommendations
Conducts primary and secondary research to identify industry best practices
Responsible for business consulting activities for assigned projects of diverse scope and complexity. Leads and facilitates any required project meeting
Organizes leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams
Develops initiative deployment plans recognizing the customer service business dynamics. Deployment plans may include training, communications, change management and monitoring
Delivers customer findings and recommendations presentations
May lead training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control
Communicates team progress through regular status updates, executive summaries and team presentations
Contributes to a center of excellence for business process development and the communication and sharing of business process knowledge and tools
Adheres to defined deliverable formats using tools including Visio, MS Project, Excel and other desktop products as required.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
8-12 years business, technology, process analysis or consulting experience
Advanced knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering
Advanced proficiency in at least one appropriate process methodology (e.g., ISO, Lean, and Six Sigma)
This position requires 50-75% travel
Graduate degree and/or enrollment in a graduate degree program preferred.
Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent industry training and experience preferred
Additional Pay Details
Compensation range is $110,000-$130,000
Position is bonus eligible.
