An award-winning, patient-centered hospital seeks an experienced Assistant Manager of the Medical/Surgical Unit to join a prestigious healthcare organization in Central Delaware.
This 300+ bed facility is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in Delaware and is recognized nationally. The Clinical Coordinator of the Med/Surg Unit will report directly to the nurse manager and be supported by a dynamic team in the daily operations of the nursing unit/department on a 24 hour basis. The Med/Surg Clinical Coordinator provides direct supervision of staff and rotates weekend, holiday and shifts as needed to ensure management presence and visibility according to departmental needs. The Clinical Coordinator participates in employee selection and evaluation, in scheduling and staffing, and in the development and adherence to clinical and budgetary standards. The Assistant Manager provides leadership to unit based work groups ie unit committees. The role also requires providing and coordinating direct patient care.
The ideal candidate will hold a BSN and have 1 year of related experience. The preferred candidate will hold a MSN and have 3 years of experience. Current DE RN or compact license is required.
