Location/Division Specific Information
This position is within the Fine Chemical Products (FCP) Business Unit of the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position offers the right candidate a key position in the Life Science Solution Group and will provide opportunities for career development and growth.
The position is located in the United States, at the Tewksbury, MA office or remote.

How will you make an impact? We are seeking a hard-working Marketing Specialist to join our team, able to understand our markets, products and customers’ requirements and translate them into creative lead-generation marketing campaigns. Key for the success in this role is the ability to develop critical thinking and a strategic approach, as well as to implement timely and work collaboratively across various business functions.
A Day in the life

Develop and implement engaging marketing programs in line with the business strategy, working in collaboration with Product Management, the Custom&Bulk team, Digital Marketing, other relevant business functions and external agencies, or partners.
Coordinate the development of creative and technically credible marketing content for the target audience, tuned to various media types, including social media, web, video, technical articles, and more.
Track and report critical metrics, including budget management and return on investment and use data to adjust current and future plans.
Work closely with Regional Marketing and Channel Partners to adapt and implement programs at local level aiming at generating and qualifying leads, but also deliver trainings and coordinate events.
Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and presenting our brand identity in all aspects of our marketing programs, ensuring consistency and compliance to company standards.
As a valued member of the FCP Global Market Development team, provide support and expertise to the various campaigns, programs and tactics led by other team members.

Keys to Success Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related, or equivalent experience in the chemical, biochemical, or pharmaceutical markets, with ability to understand market dynamics and technologies.

Experience:

At least 2 years of work experience in a marketing, R&D, product management, or commercial role in a science-related market.
Advanced academic degree in a scientific field, or a marketing qualification would be a strong plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to think strategically, not afraid of making choices.
Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment, able to prioritize effectively.
Strong ability to put the customer first.
Outstanding analytical capability and problem solving skills.
Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and social media.
Self-motivated with bias for action.
Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
