Description :
SUMMARY
The Manager of Product and System Certification and Testing is a working supervisor responsible for the day to day oversight of the Product and System Certification and Testing team. He/she will provide guidance and support to others in the areas of project management and service support for compliance of residential and commercial GAF products. The Manager will work with the Sr. Manager of Product and System Certification and Testing to develop department initiatives in support of low and steep slope product testing, code compliance, and product specification documentation in efforts to influence the industry and place GAF in a leadership position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
45% Management and supervision of product and system testing and related communications (internal and external)
35% Supervises, mentors, and coaches all Staff Engineers and Product and System Certification and Testing Specialist. Oversees daily workload and project distribution amongst the team. Imparts knowledge and shares experiences to further develop team members.
10% Supply technical support for R&D, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Technical Services, 411 Help Desk and Third Party Purchasing.
10% Support other functional teams as needed on technical issues related to product and system certifications and compliance.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 3-5 years product and system testing and certification experience with steep and low slope roofing products or equivalent experience in product performance testing.
