As a Data Governance Manager at Indeed, you will have a direct impact on the business by helping our growing Data Governance team define, develop, and maintain business processes for successful data governance and quality within Indeed. You want to be in the mix technically while providing leadership to your team. You have successfully led and earned the respect of talented analysts and delivered on challenging technical solutions. Responsibilities
Provide team leadership and management for Indeed’s Data Governance Analysts
Develop detailed knowledge of Indeed’s data, data flows, and processes
Help define the data management vision and identify opportunities and processes to ensure Indeed’s data is accurate, reliable, available, accessible, and secure
Work closely with stakeholders to design solutions that meet their needs, while making sure the priorities for your team are properly aligned to business needs
Guide team to develop and implement simple, sustainable solutions, standards, policies, and procedures that minimize data-related risks
Empower members of your team to grow their skills and advance their career goals
Who You Are
Qualifications and Requirements
2+ years leading analyst teams (of 3+ team members)
3+ years work experience in data governance/management related role collaborating with different parts of the organization; emphasis on developing and implementing data standards, policies, practices, and procedures that lead to substantive improvements in data integrity
Master’s Degree (or a B.S. degree with relevant industry experience) in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field
Enthusiasm for helping team members improve their skills and grow their careers
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
Experience leading service-oriented, large-scale projects involving multiple teams or divisions; able to influence other teams and stakeholders without authority
Comfortable working through ambiguous situations to define precise requirements and priorities and drive outcomes
Strong process development, planning, tracking and presentation skills
Attention to detail, and sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans and solutions to identified issues and problems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify quantify and effectively raise business risks associated with data quality or non-compliance
Familiarity with languages such as SQL, Python and/or Java
What we’d love to see (but isn’t required)
Command of data related government regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA), including emerging trends and issues
Knowledge of data governance best practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets, and approaches related to data protection
Exposure to tools used to support data management, specifically business glossary and metadata management, data profiling, and data quality

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

US Remote 118,000 – 172,000 USD per year
Austin 118,000 – 172,000 USD per year
NYC Metro Area 127,000 – 185,000 USD per year
SF Bay Area 143,000 – 207,000 USD per year
Seattle 124,000 – 180,000 USD per year
