General maintenance person:
Duties and responsibilities
We are hiring maintenance workers to join our maintenance team. You will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.
Here are some common duties performed by the General maintenance person:
Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance.
Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Requirements
Seeking high-quality Maintenance Person candidate will have general maintenance person knowledge. This candidate will be skilled in a wide range of areas, but they will also be able to recognize when a repair is outside of their skill set and make a recommendation to their supervisor. Maintenance Person skills and qualifications might include:
Ability to safely use common power and hand tools
Strong communication skills with management
Self-starter with good time management skills
