Position : IT Network Support Specialist
A well-established industrial contractor located in Wilmington, DE is seeking a IT Support Specialist to join their team. This person will provide help desk Support for employees and remote laptop users. This experienced IT professional will respond to phone and e-mail correspondence to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix end user problems on server/network, desktop or mainframe applications, software and hardware systems. Will analyze and document reported production outages/issues; determine severity, impact and nature of reported issues. Reset passwords according to information security guidelines; install new systems, peripherals, hardware and software. To assist in the daily operation and maintenance of helpdesk systems, to solve problems when able, and to redirect queries when appropriate.
Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and equipment
Address technical issues while taking accurate reports (maintenance records/logs of repair/maintenance schedules) in ticketing system
Image & deploy workstations, facilitate new user set-ups, and provide orientation and guidance on software and new equipment usage
Log interpretation experience
Address software migrations and basic networking issues on multiple on-site locations (Printers, Wi-Fi, Physical Networking), escalating as required.
IOS device troubleshooting & centralized mobile device management
Application installation, configuration, troubleshooting and removal
Ability to gather, analyze information and develop solutions for users
Provide issue escalation and technical evaluation
Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance as required
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Maintain confidentiality of company information
On-Call responsibilities and transportation required
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows® base operating systems (Windows 10 /11)
VLAN working knowledge
Understanding of OSI model
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills a must!
Effective verbal and written communication skills a must!
Ability to remain patient and cool-tempered while interacting with a wide range of users with different levels of computer expertise
Excellent time-management skills and a proven ability to self-start and meet deadlines
Knowledge of Office 365 and related apps
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows® 2016, 2019 server OS.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy principles
Fundamentals of CMMC regulations a plus
Ability to function well in a high paced, and at times, stressful environment
Proficiency in English
