THE POSITION
This job may be for you if you are an engaging and highly motivated individual willing and able to provide administrative support to staff in the Division of Employee Relations, Human Services Delivery Center. We are looking for an experienced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as the ability to coordinate meetings, maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Human Resource Assistant, you will exercise independent judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential and sensitive information pertaining to contract negotiations, employee discipline, FMLA, time and attendance, and other related matters within the Division. This activity may involve interacting with all levels of management, across four agencies, as well as officials from various unions. In this position you will support the Labor Relations Analysts in the Labor Relations Section by researching previous case outcomes, scheduling grievance review meetings with management panel members in various organizations, assist with coordinating staff and witness attendance at Accelerated Grievance Procedure (AGP) committee meetings and arbitration hearings. Other responsibilities include typing a variety of letters, memos, and documents for various signatures including the HR Delivery Center Manager and Deputy for Administration. This position maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems, including the purging of files that are outdated and coordinating the placement of files in archives. Also, you will process Financial Disclosure forms and respond to any calls and questions from the filers. Interested in learning more? Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to three days a week. Telework is only available after the probationary period. The first six months are all in-office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
