Eagle Systems, Inc. is expanding their safety team to include a Fleet Safety Manager. This position serves as an equipment management resource to our fleet of drivers and our office locations nationwide.
Responsibilities:
Coaching independent contractor drivers.
Traveling to Eagle Systems east coast locations conducting truck walk arounds, yard checks, safety meetings and driver training.
Managing monthly maintenance records, driver vehicle inspection reports, roadside and weight scale inspections, and annual inspections.
Participating in accident review committee.
Implementing and monitoring Geotab electronic logging devices and Surfsite cameras systems.
Communicating safety messages to independent contractors.
Responsible for management and maintenance of Eagle?s inventory for our fleet of chassis.
Assist with other safety programs, CSA score improvement initiatives, and plate management program.
Qualifications:
2+ years previous CDL driving experience preferred. Active CDL is not required.
Has experience training and/or conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections and has been inspected at the scale or roadside by commercial motor vehicle inspectors.
Experience with chassis and familiar with ports and rail yards is preferred, but not required.
Coaching and training CDL holders with applicable safety rules and regulations as outlined by the Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations for vehicle compliance.
Highly organized.
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with different levels of management and team members within Eagle Systems.
Have a safety-first mindset.
Comfortable with online technology solutions, including using email.
Microsoft Office or Google Suite experience preferred.
Experience with Geotab or other electronic logging device required.
Self-motivated and can work effectively with minimal supervision.

Compensation: salary DOE
Location: 30% east coast travel for location/yard visits, 70% in office (no remote option available)
