Description :
Nationwide Boiler is seeking a qualified Field Service Technician who will be responsible for performing service and repair activities on natural gas and light oil-fired industrial boilers in the field and at Nationwide Boiler’s facilities. We are currently hiring for California, Washington, and Texas locations. Typical duties include performance test firing, electrical work, start-ups, service calls, installation, removals, training and documentation on boilers, feedwater systems, water softeners and air pollution control equipment. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
HVAC background can be applicable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Utilizes test equipment, meters, and ones mechanical abilities to fire boilers and related equipment to ensure proper operation prior to and during installation.
Performs independent start-up of boilers and related equipment up to 1,000 HP (34,000 pph).
Assists Field Service Technicians II and III in conducting field service calls to perform start-ups, troubleshooting, or other service related activities as needed.
Performs basic electrical and mechanical repairs on boilers and auxiliary equipment.
Communicates well to new and existing customers to determine the nature of boiler specific problems, provide equipment training, explain services and operations, and provide engineering support.
Completes required field service reports which document work performed, nature of problems, hours worked, etc.
Develops and maintains good customer relations and rapport. Looks for new sales opportunities and equipment improvements. Promotes Nationwide Boiler and its associates in a favorable way.
Exhibits a commitment to provide exceptional customer service.
Requires some overnight travel and overtime.
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
