Your Role:
The Plant Operator will operate chemical processing equipment including but not limited to freezeout vessels, batch distillation columns, compressors, reactors, scrubbers, driers, chillers, and liquefiers/receivers. The Operator will maintain logs and operating records and evaluate data and take appropriate action to control the process. The Operator is required to follow all Standard Safety and Environmental Operating Procedures to safely run the plant.
The Plant Operator will handle raw materials in the production process, including performing incoming/outgoing material inspections and will prepare and/or fill containers of all sizes such as tube trailers, modules, Y containers and cylinders/cylinder packs. Perform cylinder maintenance and preparation tasks including painting, labeling, loading/unloading, shipping, shuttling, stamping and processing while using safe handling techniques.
The Plant Operator will use analytical and systems tools to evaluate and optimize the chemical process, striving to maximize yield and throughput while minimizing waste and system downtime. Also, the Plant Operator will utilize equipment for manufacturing and inventory tracking, procurement and general communications.
The Plant Operator will continually strive to improve his/her operating knowledge through computer-based training (CBT) and other techniques. Perform computer functions necessary to communicate with site co-workers and to operate the plants.
The Plant Operator will perform routine plant maintenance utilizing hand tools, hand power tools, and equipment necessary to maintain the plant process equipment and will be expected to enhance his/her technical capabilities in this area; maintain plant housekeeping standards and train new operators.
The Plant Operator will be expected to train on and maintain HAZWOPER Technician capacity. Emergency Response Team membership is encouraged.

Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Chemical Technology or related Scientific field
Basic knowledge of chemical processing techniques, safe work policies and procedures and quality practices.
Knowledge of customer attributes and specifications.
Personal computer skills and experience with distributive control systems (DCS) and process logic controllers (PLC).
