Due to our current growth in 2022, Cumulus is hiring for additional ERP Consultants.
ERP Consultant responsibilities will include:
This position is responsible for the overall configuration of the client’s requirements within whatever tool they are implementing (PLEX™).
The ERP Consultant is responsible for conducting/supervising the discovery with the client to understand the client’s requirements regarding their business processes. In addition to, assisting the Project Manager with documenting the project charter for the client’s sign off. The ERP Consultant will facilitate the discovery process with the support of the SMEs and PM.
An ERP Consultant is tasked with determining how the client will best utilize the new system, taking into consideration industry best practices as well as the client’s individual unique requirements. The ERP Consultant is responsible for maintaining discovery documentation to improve each discovery process as time goes on. The ERP Consultant is responsible for making sure the configuration meets the minimum requirements of the client, but also that the processes being implemented are effective, efficient and make the most sense for the specific client’s needs.
There may be more than 1 ERP Consultant on each project: depending on the scope of each person’s experience and knowledge in the system.
An ERP Consultant must be of an expert mastery knowledge level in the entire core path of the system (Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, Order to Cash); as well as a minimum of 2 ancillary modules; Finance may count as an ancillary module for Plex Projects.
Estimated travel is 50% annually.
The ERP Consultant will be responsible for conferring with other team members if he/she is unsure of certain capability or functionality; as well as if Cumulus as a company wishes to support certain configurations. The configurations need to be within the guidelines as specified by the Managing Partners.
ERP Consultant will be responsible to review any scope change requests with the Project Managers to determine if the change requested will require additional effort, as well as feasibility of the request.
ERP Consultant maybe responsible for documenting enhancement requests, working with development to understand the effort required and ultimately providing a statement of work to the Project Manager to be reviewed with the client.
ERP Consultant will provide ongoing support to the SMEs, PM and Application Consultants throughout the life cycle of the project.
The ERP Consultant will oversee the data migration requirements for each project because of the client’s configuration. As well as providing guidance to the SMEs and Application Consultants regarding what needs to be added or removed from our standard training protocol for each client.
An ERP Consultant must maintain their own professional credentials, as well as continual education on the products and services offered by the company as this will be critical to be successful in providing the best possible solution for a client.
Education: Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, or 3+ years of computer-related field experience with Plex™.
Plex™ Experience (Mandatory): minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in implementing, consulting, or supporting Plex™ Online in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Plex EDI, SQL, VisionPlex, IntelliPlex is helpful but not required
Project Management: experience in leadership or consulting within the manufacturing industry, preferably in Production, Materials Management, Supply Chain or Quality is helpful but not required
Personal Skills:
Ability to thoroughly document technical solutions
Simultaneously prioritize and manage multiple projects
Build and maintain good client relationships at all levels
Organized, detail oriented, passionate client satisfaction driven
Ability to work independently, without close supervision, in addition to being a team-oriented member
Ability to communicate complex technical issues to varying levels of users in a professional, positive, friendly, and understandable manner
Candidate must be a dynamic, energetic, and professional speaker. The ideal candidate will have the ability to present to multiple audiences (virtually and in-person).
