Salary: $1,700 – $2,078 semi-monthly
Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, and will be located at 1709 Prospect Drive, Macon MO 63552

You will be joining the Water Pollution Services Unit of the Northeast Regional Office, where you will work to protect water quality for the Northeast Region. You will perform technical work implementing the Missouri Clean Water Law and Regulations to evaluate and determine environmental compliance and assist the general public and regulated entities.
What you’ll do:

Schedule and conduct environmental inspections of land disturbance sites and facilities with general stormwater permits in the Northeast Region.
Provide compliance and technical assistance to the regulated community and general public on water pollution requirements, both in the office and onsite.
Schedule and conduct environmental investigations related to water pollution concerns.
Conduct emergency response to situations that may require immediate action, including outside regular work
Process applications and issue general water pollution permits for the Northeast Region.
Prepare documentation (reports, correspondence, photographs, and forms) that is timely and
Attend training on water pollution and stormwater related topics.
Perform other related work as assigned.

All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Substitutions may be allowed).
The ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred degree program would include the following: Environmental Science or Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, Geology, Forestry, Soil Science, Ecology, Wildlife Management, Agriculture, Animal Science, Natural Resource Management, Soil Conservation, or a closely related field.
At least two (2) or more years of relevant experience.
