Midco Diving & Marine Services, Inc. is a full service underwater construction, inspection and repair firm with dedicated potable water equipment and crews working nationwide.
Join the exciting world of inland commercial diving in a management role, assisting divers, and management staff with our continued success and growth.
Position to include: Compliance with business practices, safe and productive project execution, building team skills and performance, developing project scope, means and methods.
Dive Operations Manager Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensures compliance with existing business practices and work with executive management to implement industry best practices where needed
Creates an atmosphere that fosters safe and productive project execution.
Develops and builds his/her teams skills and performance.
Acts as a role model for customer service, safety and maintaining a positive work environment.
Works with internal support services to obtain information required to comply with state and local laws and internal policies.
Works with estimating to help develop project scope, means and methods, facilitates estimating/operations turnover
Works with executive management to develop a strategic plan that includes developing relationships in new markets
Verifies that all essential functions necessary to operate all diving operations are completed successfully such as dive equipment maintenance, diver training and certifications are updated and dive crews are properly utilized.
Dive Operations Manager Requirements:
Ability to work the hours required to ensure project completion.
Knowledge or ability to learn the occupational safety requirements for general industry, maritime and construction.
Commercial dive school diploma
Organized, detail-oriented, dependable and persistent.
Ability to communicate with various levels of employees.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook).
5+ years of experience in the underwater heavy civil or construction industry with several years being in an operations management or senior field supervision position.
5+ years of Inland commercial diving experience including Potable Water
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
Willing to accept personal accountability for his/her teams performance.
In depth knowledge of estimating, scheduling, project controls and contracts
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to obtain and keep current DOT physical and Fit to Dive per ADCI Standards
