MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Clinical Outcomes Manager assess, promotes and contributes to the quality of nursing care administered to patients and their support systems throughout the health illness continuum. The Clinical Outcomes Manager provides clinical leadership through advanced practice role modeling and professional communication. Specialization in nursing practice includes in-depth graduate study of relevant theories and scientific knowledge related to a select patient population, which promotes the ability to analyze and refine nursing practice and to generate nursing knowledge. The Clinical Outcomes Manager must have the ability to implement the plan, to supervise and educate others with the implementation and assess its effectiveness The Clinical Outcomes Manager performs the roles of expert clinician, educator and researcher based on focal priorities, clinical manager. May assist as adjunct faculty for local colleges for the nursing programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree required or actively working towards
Experience:
Registered Nurse in NJ; Five years Staff Nurse Experience; Two years department specific experience required. Demonstrated experience in clinical education preferred
Certification/Licensure:
National Certification in area of specialty, American Heart Association ACLS preferred and American Heart Association BLS required.
