Description :
Harding Loevner is seeking a manager of its newly established Client Operations team. The Client Operations team interacts closely with the firm’s portfolio managers and broader client service team primarily in the areas of trade implementation and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of client portfolios. The Client Operations Manager will oversee a team of Client Operations Associates responsible for implementing and monitoring portfolio management. The position requires strong leadership and management skills, expertise in solving complex problems, knowledge of client portfolio account management, a thorough understanding of operational risk management, and an ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Client Operations Manager will have the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in various areas while interacting with portfolio managers and senior management.

Responsibilities include:

Create and supervise the implementation of portfolio manager decisions by creating trades through use of the firm’s trading system and compliance module
Manage portfolio risk controls while performing ongoing monitoring of client portfolios
Report on portfolio compliance to portfolio managers and senior management
Oversee the firm’s relationship with its Order Management System vendor and back-office support servicer for Separately Managed Accounts (SMA)/Unified Managed Accounts (UMA) relationships
Prepare custom client deliverables
Supervise associates to ensure the completion of team/associate objectives

This role is best suited for candidates who have:
• Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of relevant experience with trade implementation and Order Management Systems
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated management experience including the development of professional staff preferred
Experience with Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) and Unified Managed Accounts (UMA) preferred
