Role
Playfly LLC is seeking a Billing Analyst to join the Playfly Finance team based in the Greater Los Angeles, CA or Berwyn, PA area. The Playfly Sports Finance team provides operational partnership and support to the various sports marketing and media teams across the US as well as to Playfly management. We engage directly with all levels of the organization from entry level employees to senior and executive management to assist with the various finance functions.
The Billing Analyst will work closely with the Sr Manager to ensure that client invoices are created timely and accurately. The successful candidate will understand the importance of prompt response to and resolution of client and internal sales team inquiries as it is a critical component to maintaining positive customer relationships.
The successful candidate will also be able to analyze agency reconciliations and prior invoicing to enable creation of invoices. The candidate will coordinate within Accounting, Collections and Sales to ensure that any customer questions and discrepancies are resolved promptly, which facilitates prompt distributions to our vendors (RSNs). The candidate should have exceptional organizational skills, is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be very detail oriented. Additionally, the professional will use their excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple teams within our organization as well as clients to achieve desired results.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create and distribute invoices
Research and provide a status on billing questions (internal & external)
Communicate clearly with Playfly Sales and Collection teams to expedite either/both collections from agencies and payment to RSNs
Review internal agency/advertiser reconciliations and escalate issues which are impeding customer payment and cash flow
Support customer audits
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-4 years relevant work experience in Accounting/Finance environment- media billing knowledge a plus.
Strong financial acumen
Advanced Excel skills
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and follow up
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving
Must be able to exercise independent judgment or identify when assistance is needed
Manage multiple projects timely and accurately
Must work well in a demanding, fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities
Superior verbal and written communications skills
